The files were here today, of course they will be here tomorrow. This faulty thinking will prevent otherwise responsible adults from backing up all necessary files.

Backing up files can be as easy as plugging a flash drive device into the computer, downloading files and saving it in a safe place in case the unthinkable does occur. The small nature of flash drives allows for easy storing until you need the data.

Save files to a CD
This should be second nature. As documents are completed and pictures are uploaded save them to a CD, label them well (finances, pictures, education) so that the information can be found easily and store all of the cds in the same place.
